Re: Elegance feeding

I've had my elegance for a year and 3 months now. It has a home in the rockwork (NOT on the sandbed!), and I only occasionally target feed anything in my tank... including the RBTAs that grow well enough that I rarely have to spend actual cash on my tank. That said, I do work to provide a good mixture of free-floating food-- cyclopeese, oyster eggs, DTs, decapsulated brine, mysis, squid, and silverslides being the most common culprits. And like anything else, the proof is in the pictures:

Shortly after being added to my tank:

I'm not advocating NOT target-feeding... but given the right conditions, it MAY not be necessary. At least in my relatively limited experience...

Wow! Very nice:)

Very nice! I tried one about 3 years ago and did not make it, it was at the LFS for about 2 months and when I put it in my tank it just melted away in about 2 weeks, I did feed it thou. I had all the signs it bubble up like a balloon and the tentacles got short. It could of been that my tank was not establish, just about a year.
Well after reading and seeing that some are doing good, I got one today a small frag/head that it's been at the lfs for a couple of weeks, It opened up in about 2 hours I will try to feed it tonight. How often should they be fed I don't want to ovefeed it, I know that some corals cannot be overfeed because the food might just go bad inside of it.
