Elegance coral - share your experiance

I read a lot about keeping them and got a very mixed feeling about it . Anyway, I'll try to keep it happy and alive!

there is an article here on RC somewhere. Wish I could find it. Think is was a Borneman paper. As you recall, people were sending their corals to him for research. I believe he identified the culprit and reported on it. If I find the article I'll link it here.

Can everyone give a little detail about there tank setups? Lighting, water turn over, DSB, bare bottom, where the elegance was placed, type of filteration, etc.... I want an elegance, but untill I determine what systems they thrive in and which ones they fail in, I will not try one.

Thanks,
Chris

My Elegance is placed on the bottom left ,its weiged in between 2 rocks ,,Its only in the rock about 1inch but it can not get knocked off ,Its been there for as long as i have it ,Its only gotten bigger and brighter .I have this for 2+ years if remember.I dont have a secret on how to keep ,only love my tanks and animals .Im lucky i got my hand on it when i did.

I have had mine for about 4 months now and it seems to be doing very good I feed it mysis shrimp 2 times a week or so. It will eat them in like 30 second it loves it. Its about the size of a football. It is very active when it comes to the lighting in the tank it for some reason I lift up the lights it will curl up is tenticles into like a knot and then when I put the light back down it will open them back up the same goes for when I do feeding if I feed phyto or oyster eggs it does the exact same thing. Put a little reef supplement it the water boom it knows its there. Very good indicator that something has changed if you do it fast.

waytoodeep, beautiful elegance. That pic of your mandarin is sweet too.

Congrats on keeping one of the toughest corals nowadays.
