Your elegance coral has probably got the dreaded elegance coral disease from getting too much light. I would immediately put it on the sand bed in a shaded spot and give it iodine dips for a few days. If yours is an Indonesian EC they come from deeper waters with less light and cannot tolerate high light levels.
Did this work ? I'm having the same issues. My elegance coral was extended but now it's retracted. My Params are normal and I have AquaticLife Reef LED lights.

I also noticed some weird growths on the side of its shell?

Are you referring to the pineapple sponges? These are harmless.
The typical advice is to move it to low flow and light area or at least that is what I always hear. I have mine in high flow and high light for months and it is growing nicely. That being said, how long you had it?Ah. That's what they are called. Ok. Cool. Thx. But what about it being retracted?

Check your phosphate if you haven't already, mine doesn't like high phosphate and if that is ok a somewhat large water change doesn't hurt.About two months

Ok thanks! I'll try the water change. It's not really looking good though [emoji53]
