Elegance Health

So i picked up an Elegance at a frag swap and just want to make sure it is healthy? Here is a pic of being in for about 4-5 hours. I have heard that their tentacles should be long, however mine are short. Is that a problem?

How long did the previous owner have it? If they've had it for years I'm guessing its probably healthy. If they had it for days... then its too soon to tell. It does look a little odd in the picture but that could be explained by the fact that you just moved it into a new system. Have a look through this forum. There are plenty of images of unhealthy and dying elegance coral... and a few that are doing well.

The risk associated with having an elegance touching the rock-work is that their soft tissue can easily be damaged by the rough/sharp surface. However there are plenty of pictures on this site of large healthy elegance sitting in their owners rock structures.
