Elegance not eating

Hi Friends,
I had a brown/green elegance which outgrew my tank in an year, so had to give it off to a fellow reefer and bought a small green elegance. This was imported from Bali, Indonesia.

The first elegance used to eat pieces of shrimp and used to expand almost half of my tank, however the new one which is 2 month old now is not accepting any food at all. its completely green in color with white polyps with purple tips. The previous one was mostly brown with few places green. I tried feeding brine shrimp , market prawns but still it does not get a hold of this and just let the fishes or shrimps take it from him.

Also, it does not expand very well like the old one which used to inflate as if it was about to come out of the skeleton. Also at night the entire flesh goes inside the skeleton with only one side showing off some polyps.

Any advise ? I have a small 1 inch clown hosting it, but don't think it is big enough to torture it.
How can i get it to feed ?

Tank is 50 gallons
salainity - 1.025
nitrate - 0
alk - 8
have some cyano after started using biopellets but now reduced once i stopped biopellets.

Inhabitants are 3 lyretail anthias and 2 percula clowns.
clove polyps , GSP, blue clam , pink and green birds nest (small frags) few zoas.

Also my alkalinity or calcium levels do not seem to be dropping since few weeks, does it mean there is no growth ?

Please advise.

Lighting is Phoenix 150w MH lit 6 hours daily.
Water movement by an MP10 on lagoon mode.
Substrate is arogonite sand.
I add around 2 drops of iodine daily and 5 gallon water change every 2 / 3 weeks.
Skimmer is Reef octopus 110 , planning to add a fuge with cheato and caulerpa.

The vast majority of Indonesian Elegances are found in deeper water nowadays, therefore getting light shock and not making it too long after. Sadly many people do not have luck with these ones, and it gives Elegances a bad rep for being very sensitive. Was your old one an Indonesian or an Australian do you know?

I suppose for the time being though, try to scare the clown away from it. I'm sure he isn't helping. Just keep trying to feed it, maybe give it a bit less light, and hope for the best. A picture would be nice to see exactly what kind of condition it is in.

Thanks Cptn, i moved the clowns to sump and shifted the elegance to a shady part. Today it did accept small pieces of shrimp, caught with the tentacles and moved towards the mouth. Its expanding lil bit, but one side of the coral is covered with white web like thing, Im not sure what that is.Its not visible throughout the day, only when it is not expanded.
My older one was also from Bali, Indonesia. It used to be around 14inches when fully expanded.

Condition has gone worse now, one side is all bubbled up and shows no polyps, while the other side has few polyps coming out during day time ... should i keep it in the tank ? I think its not going to make it.
