I bought an elegance from my LFS and it appearred fine. From about the first week and over the last 3 months it has slowly lost its bright green colour and has slowly been shrinking. It is barely expanding now and the tissue id a muddy green. My 2 sexy shrimp have been on it constantly. I have it on the sand bed in a 10 gallon. I have a kessill a 150 led about 5 inches over the water surface. I don't know if the elegance is an aussie or indo but it doesn't appear to have been fragged so maybe an indo?
My parameters are 420 calc
Temp 77
8.1 PH

Suggestions?

Remove the shrimp? Ammonia test? Nitrite? Nitrate? Salinity?

Sounds like you have plenty of light. Calcium, temp, and pH look great. In such a small tank, it could be a few things. The first thing I would do is keep the shrimp off of it if they appear to be picking at it.

Elegance corals are notorious for having a species specific bacterial/fungal infection. I'm not well versed, so google it or ask around.

here is a photo, not looking too good!

I am no elegance expert but that doesnt look like an elegnace, where are the tenticles, it looks like just big polyp flaps? also you may have an indo, the base of that is really dark and i believe aussies are more a of lighter color.

I agree with above that getting the shrimp off it is the first step, make sure it has very gentle flow, they do not require alot of light...do you see it spitting up brown slim from the mouths?
