Hi everyone,
Got back from a 3 week stay at my familys house on Eleuthera, Bahamas.
Had an amazing time and saw some amazing fish! Got a lot of inspirtation for my tank thats for sure
The only negative thing is that in the 10 years I have been going to this island I have NEVER seen lionfish and this trip they are everywhere Damn invasives! The Island School is trying to educate the Bahamians on how to catch and eat these fish to get them out of the ecosystem as they have no natural predators.. and I guess they are eating all the small fish and baby goupers ect ect. NOT a good thing but anyways I will see if I can upload the photos. I saw these funky tangs which I dont know what they were but the LOOKED like an atlantic blue tang but were black with a strip of flourescent baby blue on the tips of top and anal fins.. I have a picture but it doesnt do them any justice and at the time I found these guys a pair of 5ft parrotfish swam near and I thought they were a shark and freaked out and started swimming to the mainland from the island we were snorkeling around on the Atlantic side of the island....the Atlantic side always has the BIG fish...sharks too!
Anyways, lets see if I can figure out how to upload the photos
