We are finally getting the Elos System! This will be put in my home office and will be our only tank. Live rock and a coral or two will be transferred from the aquaculture bin. We replaced the floor in my office from carpet to large tile. This tile was stamped so we were able to install it with very little gap. Here are some photos.

Where did you purchase your tank from?

I am ready to start the same build after years of waiting. Just not sure where to purchase a tank from. Thanks

CoralVue is the US distributor. If you visit their website you can look up all the US retailers. PM me and I'll let you know were I got mine.

Here are a few photos. Skimmer, main pump and top off system are all subs for the stock system components. I was supposed to get black doors but that didn't happen. I was told the black doors would be shipped later. However it appears the whole design has been changed since I placed the order, so not sure if they would look good.

Packaging was very well done with lots of padding and space between tank and crate.

Very cool Steve. May I ask where you picked this up as I am looking for the same system in napa area? Best of luck with the build out, will look great in that room. Keep us posted.

There have been a few changes to the Elos Systems and they have have not been shown on any of the Elos or Elos distributors websites that I'm aware of.
These changes have caused a bit of an issue with at least this size system. I have been working with the manufacturer to help with a solution and will post photos asap. Here are a few shots of the new style stand. I believe the material is the same, its coated particle board, however the front now has a top panel. The sides are nice and beefy at 1-1/16" back panel is 3/4" thick. Colored doors will be available as a custom option and the top panel can also be made to match.

The black rails are the mounts for AI fixtures. back panel can be mounted with holes as seen or on top.

Nice clean stand, Steve. Except for the handles it looks a lot like an ADA stand. (that's not a bad thing!)

Good to here. BTW Elos aquariums are manufactured by NG Tank.

Just got one light installed so far. I 'm keeping the other on the vat system until I get everything transferred. The stand cross support made a nice place to install the Apex Controller along with wifi and skimmer controllers. I'm going to fill today.

Water is in and as I mentioned in Post #12 I have fixed the clearance issue that wouldn't allow centering of the tank on the stand. The manufacturer says it will be fixed and so far is only affecting this size tank. They have made the overflow box so small that the over flow assembly has to be glued just right or it won't work. Also since the glass panel that the overflow is attached to is so narrow it doesn't leave much glass left for support. Also there is no support at the bottom of the assembly so pushing on the drain hose can cause the glass to break as it did for me.

I build systems to be as quiet as possible and I knew going in that the overflow on this tank would need some modification. Boy was I ever right this is the noisiest overflow I have ever heard. I love the small footprint but not at the expense of noise especially in a tank as expensive as this one. I have it down to a faint trickle with inserting small tubing into the drain line but will work on it more with various inserts until it's silent. I'm only running just over 400 gph so I should be able to get this silent. Speaking of silence the main pump is almost there and definitely a keeper. Also the protein skimmer pump is near inaudible as well but the bubble turbulence ruins the quietness and is the main noise issue at this point. Hopefully it will no be producing such large bubbles after breakin. If so it may have to go. So far i haven't seen a skimmer that runs a quiet as my old LifeReef skimmers coupled with the right pump and venturi connected to the collection cup as a silencer eslf cleaner.

I have also started adding live rock from my other system. It is going in slowly so I can make sure I'm not adding anything I don't want. Most is fully encrusted with coraline algae and looks great.

BTW I'm doing this build in my new blog and it may end up with more images and detail. PM me and I will give you the link.
