thanks for the comments guys
ez and moebuis you arent helping the cause! for once im selling frags instead of buying them!
it sucks but i still live in apartments and until i settle down into a home i wont be able to upgrade i dont think?
It was hard enough to move my rsm this 40b is gonna be a PITA!!!
my dream would be a 4 or 5 foot wide 40b style tank with multiple islands and TONS of caves for lots of schooling fish to swim around
but until then heres my pride and joy! thanks again guys
I got ya. It's a beautiful tank and one that is a perfect example that you don't have to have a lot of high end ($$$) equipment to be successful. Your setup seems very simple and it works because you keep on top of it and thought everything through. Good work!
Heres a quick video so you can see more of the rock work and setup
moebuis i have to admit i spent months planning for this tank but the maintenace isnt as much as i thought i would be
i only have to do a 5 gallon wc every two weeks, empty the skimmer once every week or so and feed once a day
i dont dose or test for anything except for calcium
im really glad everything has seemed to reach an equilibrium and its not overly hard to the point where someone would get burnt out!
heres scape 2.0
i created a two level cave, an island, and a ledge
i think the fish like this setup more then swim all around now!
any cc or advice for rock placement welcome!! cheers
