yep ferritt, they fed him for me at the store. He eats anything that hits the water and is already hand feeding. I'm also amazed at the amount he can eat. He's very tame and curious too, he comes right over to investigate when I go to the tank.

ReefArtist, I got him at the new place at Livingston and Bearss. I think it's called Tampa Aquarium Supply. They were very helpful and the livestock all seemed pretty healthy. I paid $69.99 + tax for him and he's a pretty big juvenile. It's hard to tell from the pics but, when he gets in front of the light I can see that he will probably start changing soon.

thanks :), yeah I'm calling him Elvis because he is the King of the tank. I got him because I couldn't catch the aggressive royal gramma and I needed something she couldn't kill. She postured towards him only once, he flared his fins up and she took off, lol.

She's calm towards Elvis because he doesn't give her a choice however, I doubt she will be going into the larger tank. I'm determined to have a purple firefish one day and I don't know if she would leave it alone even in the larger tank with other fish.

I love your juv. emperor. It is a dream of mine to have one some day. Just haven't had a tank that fits the bill.

Every time I think this hobby is too much damn work, someone shows me a new reason to keep changing the water and cleaning the rocks.

Diane, I highly recommend getting one if you can. I've already decided that if he outgrows the 150, I will get a bigger tank. He's just that cool. The few minutes of work I do is peanuts compared the hours I spend in awe in front of the tank.
