Email test

I tested my email a couple days ago and it worked, now when I try to test it it won't work.
I didn't change anything but my network settings when I set up my port forward.

Any thoughts?

post your email config.

Also, there's a way using telnet to put your email into debug mode and display all the internal commands/errors it executes/experiences. Documented in the User Guide. You can do that and either the error message will be obvious or you can post the contents here as well and we can figure it out.

This was working on port 25 now it's not working so I switched to port 587 but still don't get a text or email.
I'm using gmx and I have entered everything like it says in the new user guide.

im trying to run telnet but i keep getting this message
'telnet' is not recognized as a internal or external command, operable program or batch file

im running vista

Go into control panel, Programs, add/remove Windows features. Enable the telnet client. Do not Enable the telnet server. Click OK/apply etc to finish.

What that error message sounds like is it can't resolve the name. That name is valid. Are you using something like 'OpenDNS'?

Well, it needs to be either your router's IP address (something like 192.168.1.1, should be the same as your gateway and if you don't know that, there's instructions in the User Guide on how to determine what it should be) or a DNS service like OpenDNS (68.225.105.209). Make sure you reboot the Apex after making any network change.
