emerald crabs suck

just happened to be checking out the tank with the moonlights on . little ingrate snags my bangaii like mr miyagi. i've only had it for a couple of days. came close to flushing the crab. looks like the bangaii is going to be fine. mr crab will be living out his days as a sump chump.

If they're not adequately fed they have been known to go after a fish or 2.

i watched the tool pound mysis last couple of days. lights on this morning looks like the bangaii might lose an eye. yashi is mia. i was keeping a close eye on him. was honestly more worried about coral loss. i let my cuc go down to one small hermit and snails. i'm done with the little buggers. this week has been rough. my friend and i bought2 fish and a crab. the swissguard basslet dead in 2hrs /ripped to shreds. the cheap chalk bass is fine. looks like i lost a really nice yashi and might lose a bangaii. i've bought about 10 bangaii's trying to make a pair. finally got it done and this happens.

Got rid of my only remaining Emerald when I saw it ripping sweepers out of my Todd's Torch. SEEYA!

Thanks for posting this - was thinking about getting an emerald crab to take care of some bubble algae - doesn't really seem worth it any more!!

This totally stinks and I feel your pain... but I'm also cracking up at you calling the emerald crab a tool and a sump chump.

bad boy, very bad boy. If you need further relegation, my 55g aggressive has alot of bad boys in it. and they are all happy being bad together.

Sorry to hear about the losses.

That's why I refuse to use crabs in clean up crews, they're just to unpredictable.
