EMERGENCY! LED fell in tank HELP

I have had the worst day and now experience, I have had more than one Evergrow D120 LED fixture fall into my 250g tank. (salt water of course) I believe that my RKE cut power instantly but i'm not as familiar with the electrical workings of (these) LED fixtures as most. So power was on at the time of them entering the water and then cut off instantly, I knew this by others were off as well I immediately disconnected the power wires and removed them asap. I then dissassembled them wiping off the bottom piece with the 3 fans 2 "power module boxes" switch wiring parts ect. and LED panels then placing them in front of a lg fan. Also removed parts (cover,lenses ect) that could be rinsed in freshwater and did so. I need to know what would be the first things to burn up and how to go about handeling the situation from here. I plan on spraying all plugs and connections with contact cleaner and then using my multi-meter to se what has power and what doesn't and where it stops to possibly troubleshoot what might be fried. a pic will be posted below of what the fixtures workings look like but that will take a few mins. I'm only interested in responses from people with proper knowledge of these and other similar LED "systems" be it the Evergrow D120 like these or DIY whatever it's the expertise that matters. Please if you can help I will be most appreciative. Thankyou verry much.
 
Hey, I don't know much about these led systems, but I am an Electrical Engineer. LED's will not burn in water and nor will most componenets. The lcd may be dead though if water was able to get inside it. Post a picture and I will try to tell you what to look for. All the boards/components/contact points should be cleaned with rubbing alcohol to clean off saltwater that may cause corrosion (do NOT clean the lcd with alcohol). If anything blew it would probably be a diode, which is there as a safety mechanism. If a diode is burnt you can take it off and everything else should work properly.
 
BP this is a few week old post just FYI. For input though I had a DIY fall in when I snapped my hanger one day. Pulled it out, set it in front of a hair dryer for about 30 minutes and it was all dry and good to go after
 
I'm sure the diodes that feed the power from led to led are fried and will need to be replaced at a bare minimum. I too had the same sort of experience you described. When the unit is apart and powered on do any LEDs light up at all even dimly? Diodes and drivers are about the only two parts that can go bad other than the LEDs themselves
 
Let it dry and use the compress air to help with it. Remove as much moisture as possible and don't turn on the unit for a few days until u r sure its completely dry

This and by checking continuity on each led separately with a DVOM you will see a dim glow if the led is still good.. have to do this to each led separate ...some of them glow very dim .

alot of the led lights are wired in series so if one goes out they all do.

hopefully just drying it out will do the trick! if not don't panic its only $ lol
 
I would take it apart get rubbing alcohol and pour it in there it will displace the water and the alcohol will evaporate.
