Emergency!!!! Need help fast

The wrasses is gone. I'm still looking for the two gobys. I"m betting they are in there somewhere. Unfortunately all my SPS are white skeletons. I may be able to frag a bit here or there but they're done. Goniopora is retracted and looking unhappy. Hammerhead and torch look fine. Zoa's are mostly opening. Trying to look on the bright side of things.

Could it be that the tube from your ato reservoir got submerged and siphoned water to reactor and display tank?

Not possible. When I walked into the room the ATO pump was running and dumping plumes of kalwasswer into the sump. It was the skimmer dumping water out of the sump that caused the problem.

Ah, i see. When my skimmer overflows, foam will bubble over its lid through a few drilled holes and some of the foam will spill out of sump. Leaked water was enough to kill power supply brick for my dc pump. If i had a larger sump, all foam would have been contained inside sump.

It's safer to put kalk directly into the topoff water and skip the reactor. Only 2 tsp per gallon of water CAN go into solution, and the amount of water delivered usually hits some sort of limit in the ATO system---rendering it not much worse than a typical topoff accident, mostly worrisome because of the salinity issue, --- but if a reactor goes wonky and starts dumping its undiluted slurry into the tank, that's a more serious problem.
