just wanting some thoughts about a emperor on a ten gallon....I have a 400 laying around. I would use one side for rubble and then the other for various things carbon/heater......worried about to much flow and splash....i am still undecided with the lights i want to use....any thoughts would be great before i start my thread....thanks

What sort of flow does that filter produce? The waterfall return from HOB filters isnt very conducive for a sandbed unfortunately.

the good thing about it being the emperor is the setting it has in which you can turn it down a little... if you do decide to use it i would recommend that. i have a penguin 350 biowheel on my 20 and i think i am about to take it off. too many microbubbles and if my goby stirs up the sand it takes a while for it to settle with the filter.

well i am gonna use it just to see if it works but if not then i will just go with a sump/fuge out of another ten or five gallon....any other thought or ideas....
