Emporer Angelfish illnesses - ID help needed

Hello, need help identifing what my juvenile Emporer Angelfish has infecting it's health. See pic.

This is a big spot that is back by it tail and is raised off white/gray patch.
History goes like this: a new fish that has been QT for 2 months. The issue rose up a month ago when my power went down for a few days and tank temp dropped. This stressed other fish that where in the QT and I lost them. My angelfish hung on but is having issues. I treated with Paraguard and know with cupramine. The cupramine seemed to rid the first signs of this "patch" by the head a few weeks back, but know it is back.
Thought it was a parasite, but now wondering if it is bacteria or a fungus. Any ideas?

Power went down for a couple of days?

With that history I would go with bacterial infection.

Is he eating? If so I'd to this.... IMO that blotchy easy is usually a sign of stress. I'd stop medicating and check water parameters first. Give plenty offerings of Romaine lettuce, dry seaweed (Nori) check for aggression from other fish. Sometimes they will have this blotchyness when starting to turn into adult coloration. Cupramine is NASTY stuff.

Copper is hardly ever a good idea as it weakens the fish's immune system and makes it even more vulnerable to infections.

Feeding algae (fresh, nori and other dried algae) is good, but you should never feed saltwater fish terrestrial plants (lettuce, ginger, garlic) as they at best can't digest them and worst case may harm them.

I would go with a broadband antibiotic like Amoxicillin. If it is bacterial you should see improvement after a few days.

Everyone thanks for the information. The patch is raise and fuzzy-like, so I will treat for a bacteria problem.
So I will do a 50% water tonight and run carbon to remove the copper. He still eating well, so my thought is to try medicated food - thaw a frozen marine veg cube and mix in SeaChem's Kanaplex (kanamycin sulfate) and MetroPlex (metronidazole). Is this a good idea? Or should I try to find Amoxicillin.

KanaPlex and MetroPlex may work as well.
Try to get some Beta-1 3-d glucan and mix that into the food. It's an immune booster. I feel it helped my fish beating infections more quickly. It's a powder in a gel capsule. I usually mix the powder with spirulina brine shrimp. I also toss in the gelatin capsule as a binder.

Where do you find Beta-1 3-d glucan? Do you mix one capsule to a tlbs of food? Also, I'm using Focus from Seachem with above mentioned meds.

You can use as much as you like - to my knowledge there is no risk of overdoseing.
I usually use one capsule with 2 cubes of frozen food.
