I have had this guy for some time. He is 12 inches long, and about 1 inch around. I love his aged face. The older he gets the more friendly he gets. He will come right out from under his underrock caverns in my 75 to look at me when I come to the tanks.

yeah mines getting big too. only a year and a half old, had him when he was just a baby, under 1/2 inch.

hoping the new one i added will become female

great pic, I have no experiance with these, are they peaceful? get along with others? I have passive fish and that pic has sold me on one....outlaw

very peaceful, but they do like to dig and tunnel. I have a battle every few weeks pushing the gravel to the back of the tank...he seems to think it looks better up front!.. mines about six or seven years old and when he goes i will get another.....

when I got mine he was 13" and according to the guy I got him from 9 years old at that time. And that was 4 years ago.

Mine is very shy though, never bothers anyone. And almost never comes out of the rocks more then 6". Hell its been at least 2 years since ive seen both ends at the same time:rolleyes:

75. About a 4inch deep sand bed. I have TBS rock, and lots of really nice base pieces that are really heavy. He has made caverns under lots of the rocks, it is cool to watch him from under the tank.

what setup do you have so he doesn't dig under the rocks and make the collapse?

no setup, just pushed the rocks through the sand to the bottom.

I have had one for just over a year. He was about a couple of inches when I got. He is just over 9 inches now and is very peaceful. He comes out of the rock work to sneak food that has fallen to the sandbed.
