Engineer goby starting to tick me off

So I got an engineer goby a few years back and he was perfectly good back then as far as burying things and now he's swimming around the whole tank burying corals and some rock work. Is there anything I can do to revert him back to his old behavior or do i have to give him to the lfs so he can find a new home who likes his behavior. I used to love him but as he got big he became awful, nobody told me of this when I first started out, but that was when I got my fish at petco :/.

I had the same thing happen to me. I bought an engineer goby when it was small and would swim freely in the open water. Then it got bigger and it started creating tunnels. It was in a fowlr aquarium so I didn't have to worry about the sand on the corals and I didn't mind it on the rocks. The only thing I would know to do would be to move your corals up in the aquarium or possibly re-aquascape with the rocks touching the bottom glass if at the moment they aren't. If the rocks are touching the bottom glass it helps the rocks to stop collapsing and helps with the tunnels. I'm not sure if that would change if it buries the corals or not though, but with the re-aquascape you can move the corals and still keep them happy. I don't have mine anymore, I sold it about a year ago so I don't know how it's doing.

He's only doing what he's gentically programmed to do! LOL ... Bring it to an LFS & don't blame Petco ... They do look cool when they're young
