I got the frag from a friend, and trust me it didn't have that many feather dusters on them. They have been taking over for about 3-4 months now. My nano tank is teeming with them. :D

Thanks George! :)

My tank is also full of em'. I posted a thread about what makes them spread like weeds. Don't think I got any replies. I wish I had a digital camera to post a pic of some of my rocks, looks like they got snowed on with big, retractable snowflakes.

Being well fed will do it for sure. The are more ready to reproduce when they are fat and happy. :D If you want them to reduce in numbers you have to cut off their food supply.

I'm rather fond of them so I don't think I will do much to try to stop them. Just scrap some away as needed. Here is some growing up the overflow. Sorry for the poor quality pic.

what do you guys feed them? Is there a special food that they like?

Phytoplankton is their primary food source. :)

WOW Amy!

Those are so neat. If you ever get too much, send some my way! My sea horses would love them!

Thanks Jordo! I'm trying to learn how to scrape them off the walls without causing them to fry off into the sand. For now I'll put some rubble near and see if any crawl on over. :D

What and how do they reproduce? Are they Asexual? Do you have to have at least 2 of them to reproduce?

They need two to tango

Hey whiteshark, how do you remove yours to give away? I've been trying but they seem to know when they are being moved and leave their tube and hit the sandbed. :)
