enough lite??

they may stay alive, but they arent gonna look very good. they will have very long stalks "reaching for the light"

is this a 20g-high? how tall is the tank? people usually go with the 96w quad PC over a 10g-15g. i'd say you'd want at least 130w of PC on a 20g. i used to do 130w of PC on a 20g, and i didnt think it was near enough....i went to MH and i never looked back :)

I agree with surfnvb7. A friend of mine has a 20L that he started specifically as a zoanthid tank and he put a single 65w 50/50 PC on it and hasn't gotten very good results. Fortunately he is moving and taking down the tank and giving me many of the zoas.

I have 400 MH and 120 PC on my 120 and my zoos eventually started bleaching. I found that sticking with PCs my zoos looked better. Though my 26Bow was under 150MH at 20K and the zoos did fine in there. I don't think there's a clear cut answer to what works, it can depend on where the corals are placed (high, low, mid) that can be the determining factor. I have a 24 Pod right now with 64 PCs and a 4.5 inch sandbed and I placed my zoos on the rockwork which is about 8 inches from the top of the water and 9.5 inches from the light, they seem to be doing pretty good.

not much of an answer but experiment with placement before spending too many dollars.

good luck
