A few years ago when we were starting our first reef tank my wife and I picked up a frag of two blue mushrooms. Fast forward to today and we have WAY more blue mushrooms than we need in our tank. A few of these are on random pieces of rubble that can be pulled out of the tank and dealt with but quite a few are attached to the base rock that cannot be removed. How do we kill off some of the mushrooms that are taking over?

I think Aptasia X would work on mushrooms, never tried though.

It will work just be sure to push the needle into the mouth and inject. I've been using it to keep mine under control.

A strong Alc paste will also work by injecting into the mouth.

Make sure to run carbons while you are doing the "shot in the mouth" the shrroms toxins might kill other corals in your tank especially sps. The best method for me is take out all the rocks and scrape them off one by one (I actually did this for my 180 gal that was full of shrooms)
