There used to be a place called SeaCave up there, I wasn't into saltwater at the time so I never went there. But heard it was good. And Buzz & Bees used to have a decent saltwater setup. There was also a place about a half hour west of town that I went to once that had almost all saltwater even a blue ring octo but I can't remember what it was called or where it was. I will search real quick and see if I can find anything it may have closed though this was all 5-6 years ago when I lived up there.

thanks. I may check these two places tomorrow.

Thanks for your help.

I have been up there for work several times in the last year. There is really nothing worth the time to go see.

One of the places was good for a laugh. They were selling the 50g bags of IO for $50!!!!

Review Time:

Buzz N' B's - Well this place had the same livetock that Petco would have. I wanted coral. They had none. There were only a few saltwater fish. LOTS of freshwater.

Seacave - This place had LOTS of coral. They only sell LPS and zoa. I asked the son of the owner "do you sell SPS?" and he said "like acropora?". I said "YES..." and he stated "we dont have acropora because it is hard to sell. People can not afford it here in Erie." I just laughed. Also the corals they did have were SO crazy in price. $45 for 2 inches of green star polyps... come on. $40 for 2 heads of candycane...that were brown....

Buzz's is better for fresh water then salt. I do not buy anything salt related there.
As for SeaCave: Yes they have a decent selection for softies and lps(overpriced), but as they say they do not have the market and do not even try. They do order sps for you but only if you pick it up on the day it comes in.

I personaly travel to stores outside of Erie mainly Buffalo market.
Only been to Cleveland and Pittsburgh markets once and prefer Buffalo, cause of friendly customer service at their stores.

ALSO DO NOT DRIVE IN SAND...WE GOT STUCK!

;)

You have to let the air out of the tires to a low level on the drive train (obviously the front end on your van...both from common sense and the craters you have there :) ) Military vehicles have the ability to inflate or deflate their tires automatically based on the terrain so that this doesn't happen to them.

Most people don't drive in the sand...................they look for a paved pull-off.............

But hey, you gave it a good shot :D

I AM A ERIE RESIDENT

I would have to disagree. Seacave is a very good saltwater fish store. They definitely do sell frags of gsp, for 15 dollars. Ive gotten a whole colony of galaxae from them for 45$ so they are reasonably priced. I do not know where TOMNEELY got his info, but it is incorrect. It is mainly lps, and softies though for coral however , and occasionally the sps montiporas. But it definitely is not a bad store, in fact it is very neat, clean, and the tanks are amazing.

Wow. When I went there 2 years ago those statements were true. The stores may have changed since then, I have been to splash lagoon recently but did not have time to visit the LFS.

Thanks for finding this though, it brought back some memories of getting stuck... Haha

LOL. I did that same thing a few years ago. Just straight up parked my cavalier on the beach at Sara's on presque. Ended up taking like 7 dudes to get my car out because I buried it to the frame. We all pushed with my ex steering. After we got it out I turned around and realized she had the parking break on the whole time also. Lesson learned. I felt like such an ***.
