ESHINE 48X3W 4G lighting fixture experience

I just ordered the 4G 48's from Peter on the 14th of this month. I ordered two units without the controller. I have a 120 gallon, 60X18X25 reef aquarium with T5 HO at the moment. I will update my experience as it progresses.

Here are just a few more of the setup hooked up.

Just wanted to pipe in and say Robin handled my order perfectly. Light, controller and hanging stuff arrived in perfect condition two weeks ago. I found that raising it up about a foot off the water gives the best spread. It's only been two weeks but so far there's been no change in coral polyp extension or color. Crocea clam opens up just like it did under 250w metal halides (Lumenar reflector). Down on the sand there's a long tentacled anemone that hasn't reacted either. Tank is 24" deep.

Yes on the 90 degree optics- but since the LEDs have only been on the tank two weeks what you'll see in the pics won't tell you a whole lot. I haven't taken any new photos in a while but will try to this week and post some here :)

Glass arrived

Glass arrived

As promised i was sent 2 replacement glass panels. It arrived within a week. (consistent with 1 week turn around) No charge to me. The glass was wrapped in plastic wrap and then bubble wrap and then smashed between two pieces of ply wood and secured with like 15 nails. Made it a bit difficult to open, but i guess if your shipping two pieces of relatively thin glass this is the only way. I have attached pictures. Both pieces made it :D.

If the user can swap the glass, does that mean that the LEDs are accessible? Do you think that optics can be changed by the user?

Depends on how handy you are. Yes you can access the optics at the very least, and i haven't attempted to open up the back to look at the pcb and such. They do have stickers that say warranty voided if these stickers are removed, so i try not to, but to replace the glass i can remove the side panels.

sounds like great customer service, im gonna put in an order, Im leaning towards 2 aquamasters and 2 36x3 4g. for a 100 gal but not sure if I want to get cree or bridge for color options...and really dont know if i want 90degree lenses....How do you like the 90's?

for me the 90 works well since my tank is about 6 inches larger on all 4 sides. I think it really depends on your footprint of your tank compared to the side of the lights. You could also have one 90 for coverage, and one 60 if you want higher light in some places on the bottom. Just a thought.

48x20x20, each aquamaster is 24 inches long, not sure i will have enought room for extra 36x3 which are about 18 inches long.....might fit if I put aquamasters sidebyside longways, and the 4g's on each end

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on 6- 24x3w for my 210. I just have a fear of commitment. My girlfriend would 2nd that... Very indecisive on this upgrade..

I think the 2 aquamasters are plenty of light for you without the extra LEDs..

your prob right, and will save me $$$. ok so then all cree and get actinic t5 bulbs for full spectrum? sorry for all the questions just want to get it right, or you will see them on the drygoods for sale side.
