ESHINE 48X3W 4G lighting fixture experience

Hi guys... I received my lights yesterday and my timers today. All in good condition. I just hung them over the tank and the difference to my T5 HO's is very noticeable. I have them at about 12" over the tank right now. Interesting bit of info. There is no label on these fixtures stating that the led's are in fact cree so you kinda just hope no mistake was made and you got what you paid for and not the lesser led's which are literally half the price. I know the 60 Watt does have the Cree label.
These 48 3W units have nothing.

Yh. What optics do you have on that fixture? It may just be the pics but I was a little surprised by the dim ends

Thanks for the info. Any pics?

YH your lights are looking good man, you should crank that bad boy up to 100% and show us what it can do. Haha.

YH, thanks for responding to my PM. One more question: If I need 3 units of 48x3W, how many controllers do I need? Will one controller controls all 3 units or each unit has to have its own controller?

Thanks yh!

Are you going to leave your fixture at that height and lower intensity? Or are you thinking of moving it up, increasing intensity, and getting more spread?

For now i'm going to leave it as is, i like having darker spots around the edges for less light hungry corals, but I will adjust according to what corals i end up with.

-Cool thread , i'm subcribed :) !!

-Are the fans running quite yh1158 ?

-I ordered my fixture two weeks ago , and it should arrive here on monday , so late due to DHL.
They arrived here this wednesday , only with the controller... and no lightfixture....
So i realy hope they are here on monday.
That i can attach the fixture on my lightrack of my 154g DIY build

greetingzz tntneon :)

First two pictures are of the T5 HO's. The last two are are the e-shine fixtures.
Both set of pictures were taken minutes from each other and DSLR was in manual mode.

Yes the fans are barely noticeable. I didn't even notice they were on until i put my head near the lights, and my hair started to blow around haha.

@flyfisher2 Great pics of comparison!
