Euphyllia Transparency

When I see pics of Frogspawns, or in LFS, the tentacles are generally quite dark and for lack of a better term tightly grouped.

In my tank, I find the tentacles to be "overextended" and more transparent than I see in other situations.

I have fought off some N and P issues but have this somewhat under control. That said, I see them all the time in crappy tanks and they still have the dark colors that mine seems to lack in full light. At this point my N is under 20ppm and phosphates are too low to measure on my crappy API test kit.

So my question, is this caused by too little light at the bottom? Or is it more likely due to water parameters not being great?

It's possible there is a light deficiency and they might be "extending" to potentially reach more light and/or to expose more tissue/zooxanthellae to the light.
