euro bracing and fish jumping?

I'm looking into eoro bracing and fish jumping. Some claim no fish jumping out of tanks with euro bracing of 2-3 inches. The reason being that spooked fish dart and when they get to the glass they go up the glass and out of the tank. I'm looking for some more input about this, if it's true I may try something with my tank so I can get rid of the egg grate.

If I can confirm the fact that euro bracing stops carpet diving, then I was thinking of getting some plastic to glue to the tanks plastic brace. Not for support but to block fish from jumping, so it wouldn't have to be real thick.

I have euro bracing on my acrylic tank and have never had a jumper...knock on wood. I have had a jawfish for 6 months and have never had a cover on the tank. I thought I was just lucky, but I think the hypothesis of euro bracing is quite possible.

I have euro bracing with egg crate and I had a jumping Goobie make it throught the grate and broil under my t-5's.. smelled great!

You should be OK....generally fish hit the glass and go straight up..the euro brace should rebound them back into the tank where regular glass with no euro they are going for a walk...

I have a euro braced 210g and my lunare wrasse still jumped out :( I also lost a clown fish that I found on my overflow box cover.

It didn't work but it led me to find clear netting, it was from a post from Jim's flies in Michigan, he had found it. I found a place online that sells it but minimum order is approx 350sf. You use it in a screen frame and it's a tried and true solution.
