euro reef cs6-1

First this Euro-reef cs6-1 is an upgrade from (actually running both right now) AquaC remora pro,mag3,w/surface skimmer
It really is an upgrade, even this new, used, blemished one.


So anyway, I've got a question about tuning this skimmer in for best operation. It's doing it's thing alright, I have the riser tube adjusted to get the bubbles to about where the union is. I'm wondering about the air line. It's wide open now but I can fill the reaction chamber with more bubbles if I restrict the air a bit. I've seen mods to these skimmers drilling out the air line connector and maxing out air inlet, so that leads to my question which should I go for? max air inlet or more white with bubbles and turbulence in the reaction chamber by restricting air?

Also, what do you think about modifying this skimmer by adding another needle wheel pump set up like a recirc. and leaving the original needle wheel pump (sedra 3500) in place?

do you know how long the euro-reef thread is?
no that's okay, I think I just have to try it and see what works best.
