Because of shipping issues, foam pad damaged under a 120g I decided to remove it and installed the tank on bare bottom on a wooden manaufactured stand.

Now I've check around the bottom, no extreme irregular gaps and leveling seem to be fine. Question for people who have 100+g installed euro brace tanks bare bottom on wooden stands had any issues?

Thanks.

The reasoning behind using a thin layer of foam padding underneath rimless tanks is to prevent any pressure points. Unless the top is completely level, with no irregularities at all, there will be (perhaps small) pressure points that could lead to failure. Being that i 1/4" sheet of foam underlayment is like, $10 or so, It would seem rather risky to proceed without it.
