thats like saying i can get a car for 1000 dollars that works as well as your super shiney 100k bmw...this is someones hobby, and peoplpe like to be proud of their fancy stuff...but now you ruined that

im just messin around but lighten up man theres no reason to come and make fun of people on the internet

well i've been wanting to know like you guys about the pumps and such so i did some research and here is what i found out

the final revisions on the impellers for the SP1, SP2, SP4, SP4 & SP5 pumps are being done now. The SP3 is going to bea bit further out for release.

The 1262 Eheim pumps are scheduled to arrive on Sept 10th and should be in ER's hands shortly thereafter. The venturi is being dialed in right now. ER WILL have them on skimmers running at MACNA XVIII. they will start shipping them shortly therafter.

there will some nice surprises for the prices w/ the eheim pumps i guess

MACNA will be a great place for ER people i guess...MACNA go'ers keep your eyes wide.

well that is what i have heard. thought the ER like'ers would like to hear it too since there has been a large number of questions asking about it.

The 1262 thing is interesting since Deltec, H&S use 1260s. I've seen posts that the reason is the 1262 didn't provide any extra performance over the 1260.

do you know how the new impellers will affect prices?

and do you know if there will be a swap done for those that just purchased their ers recently?

You're right. I've spoken to Jeff about it as well. I was concerned the 1262 would be too powerful for my skimmer body.

However, Jeff assured me that would not be a problem. They are not much more powerful than the 1260's.

Not many but some Deltec skimmer come with a Eheim 1262 pumps. I have one ;) And the 1262 in my Deltec runs my 851 skimmer a little better.

bjdrake, sjm817, jimdogg, zoom - thanks for the insight on the 1262. i wouldn't have known the diff..i forgot to ask.

nemo - no idea...i don't work for them. not sure how the impellers will affect prices but i was told that adding the eheim pumps to the ER will come w/ a surprise in a nice way.

not sure on switching out impellers...i didn't ask

from what i understand the eheim 1262 will not have the same power as the sp5 . i am waiting to receive the new impeller as jeff said it will push air twice then the standart one.
jeff told me that the eheim 1262 will not be efficient as the sp5 for the 30" high skimmer .
the eheim 1262 rated 898gph and the sp5 1585 gph .i believe the eheim 1264 will be great for the big skimmer.

That is correct the Eheim 1260/1262 don't have is much power as the sp5.
But the Eheims are proving pumps they last forever and ER can multiply this pump on there skimmers just like everyone else .

The 1264 is 100 watt pump with the regular impeller i'm sure it will be lower with the N/W.
I hope ER R/D the Eheim pumps on there skimmers before they release them to the public so no one have any problems ;)

Yes, the air/water mixture will lower the wattage.

As far as testing, I know they are running some at their shop already. From what I have heard, they will not be much different performance wise, just deadly quiet.

Have you seen the new aquabee 5000 NW? Those things are supposed to perform better than 2 1260's and at less wattage....

I hope they are better than the 2000 series.

there are a lot of pump out and i read about new pump that will take 5watt for new skimmer .i think the eheim pump work very good we saw them on the H&S and on the deltec i believe they will give nice skim on the ER skimmer to. maybe i am wrong but i know we all hope to see that.:) i read now that eheim will start now to product skimmer to who knows how they will work it's realy interesting , but i know they have good pump with more nice impeller like the treahdwhell one and when i saw how it's work on skimmer i was amazed .(i am going to try that end of the week) first on sedra pump after on the genx pump.

I am in the market for a skimmer for ~250G custom tank. I might have heavy BIO load in the future, so i want to invest a good skimmer.
I am looking at RS250, but i read somewhere in this thread that they will come out a RS350 model.
I can't find any information on the web about RS350 and wondering if it is coming out soon? or I am dreaming.

Thx
