ever seen polyp extension like this? [PIC]

noticed this the other day. the main one is pretty obvious, but if you look at the base you can see some others exhibiting similar conditions.

anybody ever seen something like this before?

also, could i get an ID of this species? or is it just your average "acropora sp." :D thanks!

Alot of times when it blisters like that its not a good sign. I have heard its from the alk being messed up. I have a couple of corals that did that but i got the ca and alk in normal ranges and it quit. I havent seen bad effects from it other than if it gets too swollen it will break and cause rtn sometimes. Kevin
