That's exactly what I did.

I recently moved to Utila, Honduras to follow this dream. I started a blog to document the experience. Thought some here may find it enjoyable reading with lots of great photo both above water and below. You can register to recieve email updates of new posts (I try to update once per week)

Please share with anyone you think may find it enjoyable. Thanks!

Sweet! I was out there in 2003 I think. I loved Utila. We were supposed to go to Roatan but opted for the off the beaten track. If you have time, and like getting lost, I totally recommend kayaking the stream/creek/river (whatever you want to call it) that runs across the island and gets you to the north coast. If you go as the tide's coming in, you won't have to get out and push :) But it soooo worth it in my opinion. The diving wasn't that great when we went, really choppy, and we missed seeing a whale shark by about 1/2 hr, grrrrrrr. Oh well, next time.

Not an instructor but a divemaster on a boat. Congrats on following your dreams. I'm too much of a wuss and I'll be doing the same job in the frozen tundra of Buffalo NY until at least Summer of 2031.

congrats thats awesome! Life is to short to wimp out and not do what you dream to do. if ALL of us did it we would all be much happier!!

Henry,

I just read through your blog and i have to give you

The title of this thread runs through my head just about every day. I'm very impressed that you have been able to trade your midwestern life for one in Honduras.

I've never been to Honduras (eventually plan to) but I have the same dream about Bonaire. If i could only win the Lottery!

Good luck to you. I look forward to following your blog and living vicariously through you.

Dennis
