I found a spot on liveaquaria that shows where they keep divers den fish and the corals they sell. their set up is pretty neat! http://www.liveaquaria.com/videocenter/

They even have their lights for the corals on a motorized track to spread light more evenly by moving constantly, it's pretty cool!

I was able to catch a presentation... forgot his name, Steve I think?... gave at the Next Wave event in Dallas over their facility. The whole ordeal IS quite impressive. Mucho thought, design and money went into their facilities.

The purpose for the lights on the motorized track is that they can use one light for an area what usually required two. They're just saving money.

But for a behind the scenes system like theres it is not only more cost effective, but its also more environmentally friendly to utilize a minimal amount of light. I have seen people try to pull this off on display tanks, and well it just looks pretty crappy.

yeah I thought the vids were nice. this way I can see where my stuff will come from. it's more of a piece of mind to see that they take so much care in the quality of their livestock. :lol2:

Ive been on the tour 8 or 9 times its awesome. They have open house four times A year if at all possible you should try to go.The next tour is the 9th of next month. You get free run of the whole place to hand pick your corals and get 10%off

wow that'd be awesome. too bad WI is so far away!! that'd be one heck of a trip though.
