I'm in Westchester County. I buy my clams from Reef & Fin in Stamford, CT. The owner only stocks ORA clams so I have been sticking to these....very happy with them.

Peter, He is NICE I want one but can not seem to find anyone that has one. Plus I am working on getting a new tank.

Ron, I got 2 T. gigas from Clamsdirect. For a while he has some left but finally they were all sold. Before I got my T. gigas, I was looking and looking. If you wait long enough, there will be another shipment. Maybe the supplier is holding out - until the demand is there before they ship the clams to US.

I got a 6" and a 4". 6" is doing well, as pictured. But 4" is surviving - but no visible growth - and it is not as colorful (fewer blue spots) compared to the larger one.

There haven't been any in for awhile...I think since the fall. I understand there have been some farming issues in my discussion with ORA this past week. Hopefully again in the near future. Adam

I was just about to say those look like Walt's clams. He gets some nice clams in and reefermaddness gets pretty good dibs over there.

Was talking to Barry at Clams Direct last Wednesday and he said that he also is now getting clams from Walt Smith and from looking at different clam vendors it looks like a lot of them are carying them.


They do look great Seven.

Nron, Walt's is getting a large shipment this Monday I believe, about 4-500 clams in. His clams do look nice and healthy. I'll post some pictures when I pick some up.
