I know it's still premature. A lot could still go wrong, but, The online fish store confirmed that my order is healthy enough to ship today for tomorrow delivery!!
YAAAY!

In the order is:

1 signal goby.
2 marine bettas.
1 2oz live brine shrimp (for the bettas).
1 candy cane coral.
1 Favia Brain Coral.

All free shipping, I paid for saturday delivery. They said my bettas have been really feeding well all week and doing really good. (It's been a big long 3 week+ ordeal getting bettas healthy enough to ship.)

Anyways, I'm excited, and wanted to share. I'll post pics when I receive them tomorrow morning. I can't wait!

Congrats on the first online fish order. Hopefully everything comes as you wanted and in healthy condition.

Yup, me too. They've assured me the bettas are very nice specimens and are very healthy. I'm really hoping all goes well without a hitch!

That first order is alway nerve racking. As long as it is a reputable company, you will be amazed at how easy it is to get the fish you want delivered right to your door step. My fish track record has been more successful ordering online then buying locally. I still try to support locally, but sometimes they will want 100% more for fish. Whether they like it or not, LFS are in direct competion with OFS and they should be at least close on thier prices or I just cant justify it. Anyway, good luck!

:D Hopefully arrived well. I order 99% of my stuff online now since its 150 miles each way to the nearest real pet store*. Shipping it almost always cheaper than the gas to go that far, and to boot better selection!

*We do have a tiny pet store locally but they carry almost nothing for marine, no skimmers, no fancy pumps, they don't even sell live rock or dry sand. Just a handful of fish.

Sorry... Arg been quite a busy day.. Went well. ;)

Fedex guy didn't show up until 11:50am. He had until noon! ?L##$?#@#%@#%!#$. (I was up at 8 waiting for him... Someone should have told him that. heh.)

I'm uploading pics of the one marine betta that would pose for me, though I doubt it liked the flash much. Sorry for the flash in the pics.. Hard to get a pic through glass with the lights off.. I doubt the betta liked it much. Both pics are of the same one, the other one wouldn't pose for me.

Both looked healthy. The signal goby is funny. My wife picked him out online and ordered the smallest one (I didn't realize that or I would have upgraded it.) Kinda glad she go the small one though, it looks funny in my tank.. He skips along the edges of the tank, sifting sand... Ignores all the other fish, hops over the crabs and snails in his way, and goes on his marry way.

The bettas look healthy. They didn't like being together too much, there was a little dispute over territory or to establish dominance. Hopefully they fall in love and decide who's going to be which sex.

Overall a good experience so far. The countdown for the 2 week threshhold to see if everything can make the long hall and thrive in my tank begins...

The corals-- candy cane and favia brain corals, both looked healthy and good. I tested the water of each bag for sg, and all of them were within
-.002 of my tank. one Marine betta was .0035 or so different. I acclimated him longer.

The live brine shrimp I'll keep in a pail with an airstone until it's gone or reeks too bad. But when I put some in my tank (I couldn't resist) They just swam around until my fat grama devoured them all. Was funny. I think one of the bettas may have eaten as Not too long after I fed, I saw one of the bettas body jerk, couldn't visually see him eat though.

After seeing how small the brine are, I think they'll eat mysis pretty easily. Bigger to see and though they aren't swimming they should smell and look like brine, hopefully.

Anyways, Was a great experience so far.. Let's see how the next 2 to 3 weeks go..

I just saw that in the bag of stuff they sent with the fish and stuff, that there's some sea chem stuff to throw in when acclimating for stress and to reduce ammonia toxicity... I noticed it after I acclimated and searched through the box of stuff.... Oops.. Can I put the seachem stuff in my tank or just forgo it completely? (It's blue liquid in a capped syringe.) The instructions say to use it for the things I stated above.
