How are the prices down there on tangs, blennies etc?I have never been there.I was talking to some guy I met yesterday and he said it was by far the best store around. He said it blows away the old hidden reef in philly.

Yeah Exotic Aquatics is a very good store with prices that wont break the bank. They have alot of nice SPS frags. You know you are dealing with a nice LFS when they have Deltec, Tunze right on the shelf :D

I'm not sure about their pricing, I hear its great though! (I have not been in there for a "shopping trip.") They are one of the accounts that I call on for my job and will vouch that every time i'm in there the tanks and livestock always look top notch. Phil and crew know what they are doing :D Definitely pay them a visit!

Also FWIW they matched the online price for my TS-24 Tunze package. I got the Marine Depot price for my Tunze at a LFS

That just there online shop?

The store is still up and running, and from what I remember they had some nice corals when I was last in there. Its a pretty nice store, worth the trip up, its only about 35-40mins from UD.

Ok, where else LFS wise(not talking bars) should I go on this random trip I am thinking about taking tomorrow? I've heard a lot about stuff in Baltimore blowing little old DE and lower PA out of the water and it's time I make a trip. I don't have a lot of $green$ right now, but perhaps I could get some ideas of what I would like to save up for.

Well in MD, the best to worst... this is just MY OPINION.

1. Dr Mac's (Vienna, MD) A++++
2. Exotic Aquatic (Towson, MD A++++
3. Marine Dreams (Bel Air, MD) A+ (just opened needs more stock
4. House of topicals (Glen Burnie, MD) B-
5. Aquarium Center (Baltimore, MD) C+

And Yes all 5 of these stores blow away fishmans, just fish, newark trops, east coast aquatics (PA) etc.

Best of luck on you travels.... If you have not been to Dr Mac's that is the first place I would go for sure.

:D

Well so far my list of corals to purchase is little I still have a lot of reading. Dr. Mac's is mostly or all corals right? If I head down south in DE that would be the only thing to visit. I will likely make that trip sometime when I can return home for a while as well.(Lewes DE). Below is the brief list I have made of stuff I am keeping an eye out for.

Would like to get:
zebra urchin crab (Zebrida adamsii)
Staghorn Hermit (Manucomplanus variansi)
Knobby sea rods
Sharknose Goby (Gobiosoma evelynae)
Neon Goby (Gobiosoma oceanops)

Possible:(reading into)
Hermits! Hermits! and more Hermits!
Teddy Bear Crab
Black and White morph of a A. ocellaris.
Normal colored probably tank raised A. ocellaris.
Pom Pom Crab
Copperbanded Butterflyfish (Chelmon rostratus)
Red Polyp octocoral
White Porcelain Crab (Need to find a list of species with details)
Xenia Crab???
Flame Angelfish (Centropyge loriculus)
Emerald Crab

I am also considering getting some lighting soon so that I could actually purchase corals that are primarily photosynthetic. --> 20Long reef lighting for anemone

Dr. Mac's also does carry some fish but he's the opposite of what you would see in a LFS. Many inverts and approx. 15-25 fish. One thing I can say about the few fish he does carry is they have very distinct markings such as his black ocellaris clowns. Long drive but worth it IMO.
