Exotic Harlequin Shrimp

I know how to sex the shrimp. I Just cant figure out why the ywo females paired up.

Yeah i just noticed there are three pages. haha.

Have you tried breeding them? I wonder if the offsprings will look more like the colorful female or the male......be a nice experiment. =)

I have tried getting Two of these three two pair off. I purchased the Male Elegans and Female Elegans as a pair. After about three weeks she decided that she liked the looks of the Female Picta better, and ditched the male. THe Picta Female has never shown any interest in the male.

I just moved the shrimp over to Megans new Elos. It is a much calmer environment. They already seem happier. My tank was just too much with the super high flow and bare bottom.
