Exotic Harlequin Shrimp

I am a full time student and I work Full Time.
But I finished High School in two Years and worked 60 hours a week for two years, now I work 47 Hours a week plus school. I love to travel and Megan and I go many different places. Instead of partying in High School and my first few years in college I worked and saved money. So I am pretty lucky to be able to do the things I do, and get the things I get. I like nice stuff, and my job as a sales person helps with that. My father and I own our family business. :)

*There is no such thing as too many tanks. At one point I had a 12 gallon, 24 gallon, 55 gallon, 100 gallon, and 240 gallon running at one time. *

Is it possible to feed above shrimps with freezing startfish Linkia?
It must be very simple to feed with freezing starfishes.

I wouldn't feed frozen for a couple of reasons, first the stars disintigrate and break down, causing water quality problems. While the shrimp feed they don't kill the star. Second, mine leave the star when it dies, I guess they don't like the flavor of dead star, also as far as fouling, rotting food isn't good for any animal.

I agree, I'm so jealous, but $130's a bit too much lol.

What time of the day do orders from liveaquaria usually arrive? Just wondering cuz i bought two things the same time as you.

Yeah, I hate to agree. I paid that much for a super male fairy, but DD is a very good source. Beautiful girl, congratulations!

REEF-n-Chicago, there should be little to no trouble. Fairies and flashers are not known to go after shrimp. The one I had in the tank with my harley never even gave him a second look.

So is divers den Dr. Foster & Smith? When I do a search that's what comes up but I can't find those harlequins on there.

i ordered this stunning zebra crab off of divers den a couple weeks ago from live aquaria. they botched the shipping and accidentally sent it to my billing address rather than my shipping, and it took twice as long to get to me. he was really weak after acclimation, and lasted about a day in my tank in the same spot until he died. i called them and they gave me "free shipping" for my next purchase. so i dont think ill ever order from them again. animals shouldnt have to go through that trauma.

Diver's Den is on the www.liveaquaria.com page and it's entirely what you see is what you get. So, until they have another one in stock, you wouldn't see that coloration available for purchase. In some cases, you have to be really on the ball to get the animal you want. Does that answer your question, spw4949?

Ohhh Timing.
If I had constant cash, I would be in serious trouble.

Just an update on the Shrimp.
The Large Elegans Female left her "husband" :)
She has paired up with the big pretty Picta Female. I am 100% sure that both are Females, but it makes no sense that they are "paired". They both show no interest in the male. There is no aggression, but no normal "pairing" either.
I will get some more pictures soon.
By the way, these are the fastest eating harleys I have ever had. They are eating an entire 3 inch starfish in 2 days.

:)

That is an awsome harlequin. I have been keeping them for a few years now and they are a great addition to my tank. michael you are one lucky guy. If i saw it again and have the money for it i'd jump on it for sure!

Michael this is how you sex the shrimps:

look at the bottom of their belly. If there's blue stripes that mean it is a female. Belly that is white/off white are males. These blue markings only show up after they've reached a certain age but from your pics it looks like they are juvies and old enough to tell them apart.
