I see Apex users have the ability to control Jebao, Kessil and Maxspect Gyre with their controllers; they have an automatic feeder as well - why does GHL lack this? I love the Profilux, I still think it's superior to the competition - but why doesn't it progress as quickly as Apex does?

To be clear on facts Apex currently does not control the maxspect Gyre! or is there any official statement it will.

Other items you list are third party hot wires not OEM items where the manufacturer has no control over the item causing damage or making the controller unreliable.

GHL are renowned for their reliability, a flaky controller is catastrophic to a reef tank so they concentrate on in house specific items where they have full control of the reliability of the product connected to the controller.

GHL work alongside proven names such as Tunze and Ecotech, Jabao is not exactly in the same league.

However there is nothing stopping an end user connecting any of the items you mention to a ProfiLux as in the main these are simple 0-10v control lines where GHL make a number of connection possibilities for the DIY end user. For example Kessil.

So its very much up to the end user to decide if they wish to make this connection. ProfiLux is more than capable.
