Experience Drilling a 40 breeder?

Have you ever drilled a 40 breeder bottom? I called AGA today and they said it is not tempered. I want to hear if someone has done it before I really go at it.

Mine is drilled in the bottom. Bought it from an LFS that had a few extra after setting up shop. Wouldn't recommend it though, unless you're going barebottom, as obviously it is impossible to get to the bulkhead once you have sand and rock in the tank. This isn't necessarily a problem if you plan ahead and silicone in a drain pipe that you know will work, but it could be a problem otherwise.

I was going to put in an overflow box too. You think it will be hard to get in to fix if I build it as a 7" X 5" overflow box. I think I could just fit a hand in there.

BTW: Moderator sorry this is in the wrong section. I guess I should have started this thread in DIY.

Mine is drilled on the bottom, too. No problems.

I drilled mine myself about a month ago and put in a 6x6 corner overflow
