Experiences with Centropyge Multicolor.

Interesting theory.
I mentioned mine went from white then got dark and now white. I noticed mine got white again after I rescaped my tank.

Maybe someone else can chime in if their specimen went from light to dark to light again

Mine turned light again when the tanks angelfish 'pecking order' changed, by adding a larger more aggressive angel. Also my regal pased him in size. Maybe rearranging rocks can do this, it curbs aggression. ?

I don't think it's water quality related. I see small young super white ones fs. The dark probably comes with age and size in the wild. Male. IMO

Toddrtrex, can you say for me about the three centropyge that you have?

The multicolored and Coral Beauty (( Centropyge bispinosa )) have been together for about 3.5 years now (( used to be in a 58 with a Centropyge venustus, which is now in my 40 breeder )), when I moved -- 2 years ago -- I put them in a 65 along with my flame (( C. loricula; used to be a pair, but lost one of them during the move )). The flame is the leader, with the coral beauty being second, the multicolored is 3rd in the pecking order. Once in a blue moon there will be some chasing, but it only lasts for about a second -- a minute later they will be picking at the same rock without issue.

Hope that answers what you were asking.

Thank´s Todd.
Was this that i want to hear.
I know that can be a harem with 1 dictatorial (male) and more female (submissive),but the sequence must always be of highest to lowest.
So,i have a big Coral beauty,so i will put 1 small flame and before 1 multicolor even smaller.
That´s alright?
