Extender for the Magnet Holder

HI,

I bought 3 of the magnet holders a few months ago, and I have only been able to use one because of the - what I would call - poor design. Using the magnets it is only possible to place them at the end of the tank - and even then not in a corner. They need to allow the pump to rotate more.

I have heard that there is an extender for the holders that helps with this problem. On the Premium Aquatics website it looks like it is part 6080.23. Is this the correct part and will it really help?

Also, it shows that they are not in stock and there is no expected ship date. If this is the right part, do you have any idea where and when I can get them.

This is very frustrating. With just a little pretesting the flaw could have been discovered. I realize that they work fine - just not for the application that most of us probably use them for (mounted on back of tank or near corner where you would angle them).

Hi John,

I have the same exact problem. It appears that Marine Depot sent me the older style pump. But, I am returning it for the black one so hopefully, that one will have this swivel mounting bracket.

Actually the magnet holder came out after 6080.23 which came with the Streams and the rail set for a couple years. When used with the original holder it was fine. It was redesigned to fix this flaw within a couple months of release of the magnet holder. Bearing in mind the cronology of development their was no flaw. Their is no reason for Premium to be out, I have them in stock here. I would call to confirm that.

Is it part number 6080.23 or 6080.40 on Premium Aquatics site that is best for achieving the extra angling of the Stream?

Premium Aquatics is out because I got the last one about a 2 weeks ago. I ordered two, but only recieved one because they were out of stock.

I just called them today and they are out of stock. They said they had some, but they all went out to people on their wait list.

Are you sending them more? Is there any other way to get this part?

I am completely out. Many of you may know that this is vacation time in Europe, most factories in Germany close the month of August, Tunze is open but on a very reduced staff so deliveries have slowed to a crawl.
