Extinct Giant Clams?

The massive size of certain clams in the wild has a certain Prehistoric quality. Does anyone know if there have ever been any larger than Tridacna Gigas? Does anyone know how long ago in the fossil record Tridacna Gigas dates back?

Gigas is the largest known and fossil records date back to between 5.3- 11.6 million years ago
