Extra thick bubble counter solution

Has anyone gotten this into there system.. I noticed a quick bloom of gha tested phosphate on a Hanna get 0 Nitrate 0 Alk 9.1 cal 470. Then I noticed the bubble counter full and now flowing fast bubbles due to a faulty check valve. Fixed. So I've been doing a lot of water changes and removing gha any other advice on how to rid the contamination other then carbon or poly mat

maybe the CO2 is causing the algae to grow at a rapid rate consuming nutrients. You will just have to wait this out. If your nutrients aren't high, your GHA problem will fix itself. Water changes cant hurt.

If memory serves, isn't the thick bubble counter fluid glycerine? Cannot see why this would cause GHA.
