As some of you know I bought a 180 a couple monthes ago from glasscages. Well yesterday Wayne & his brother Steve aka VikeBron came over needless to say a couple of beers, some power tools, 2 trips to lowes & a couple of holes in my floor later the 180 is plumbed. All comments & suggestions are welcomed.

lookin' good! Where are the air holes on the durso going to go? I have mine set up using a T on the drain pipe with a cap on the top, and a 90 to the side. I have the air hole in the cap. I haven't seen a durso with just 2 90s.

Nice first pic of the basement plumbing bro. I'm sure everyone can just turn their computers on their sides to see it:p
How ya coming on RO water Jason? Got enough for your liverock yet?

Crum, airholes will be drilled right on the top of the dursos.

Reminder to Jason.......drill holes in dursos:D

WoW, nice work guys!!!! I'll be needing help like that in the near future since we're looking to buy a house right now. Looking at a house right now with the bonus room sitting on concreate slab and a garage right next to it. Large tank would work great!!! Plumb everything into the garage.......Dreaming of a large tank..... :D

Looks good, Jason, Wayne, and Steve. I need a basement, too, but it's not in the cards apparently... Nice work. What sizes are the two lines into the sump and then the one down to the 150 gallon tub?

1 1/2 down to the sump and 1 1/2 to the 100 gal Rubbermaid and 1" on the side of the sump that will have a pump to the skimmer and then to the Rubbermaid. I think he has decided to go with a MR 3 for a skimmer.

Gary thats cool I hope you get feeling better.
Steve she could pop anytime I cant wait 4 the baby to get here.

Steve Vik Bron I should have enough ro for the rock today. I was slacking yesterday cause I had my daughter. I got to shim the front of the stand just a little before I start adding water To the tank but I will do that tonight when i get home. Thanks again for the awesome help you & wayne gave me.

Just so I understand-one 1.5" line draining from tank, and one 1" line draining from tank to the first tank? If so, I'd watch water levels when you shut the skimmer off to clean (probably shut off the return). My concern is that with a 1 1/2" and a 1" draining into the upper area and no skimmer pulling out of the first tank into the rubbermaid tub (while cleaning the skimmer), you'll have more water going in than can come out (unless you turn off the return pump). Could be wrong and gravtiy may help you here (less drop to the second tank and less elbows for eddies), but I'd watch that area the first couple of times you shut down the skimmer for cleaning (probably at least weekly, as my MRC starts reducung it's output quickly once it starts gunking up the sides-doesn't take long to gunk it all up with those skimmers:)). If you see a back up when you pull your skimmer off line, an easy solution would be to add a second 1 1/2" drain to the 100 gallon (excellent for redundancy) and it looks like that would be pretty easy if needed. Like I mentioned before, I didn't match my ins and outs by area on my sump/fuge configuration under the 125 (primarily the connection between the sump and fuge didn't match the incoming to the fuge) and have had some overflows becasue more can come in than go out. I can't wait to see this running. I'm likely going to have a tank room behind my displays for plumbing and sump/fuge/grow out tanks, etc. once we move. I really wish I could find a decent house down there with a basement...
