You can build your own pretty cheap...

yeah, like steve said, DIY is pretty cheap. if you're on a budget it's good to DIY. It's very easy to do too (if you're steve, lol) but for some they just like the "name brand"
Like any of the CaRx, you can build one for 1/3 of the price. but some just like that label. lol.

How big of a tank are the heaters rated for?

well, they're 250w heaters..... I really don't think there's a rating.
Just for reference, I use 2x250w jager heaters on my tank.
