Failed Molt?

I found a molt of my n.wennerae "Peek" today... Looks normal except for one mushy part (red arrow pointing to it). What do you think... is this normal or will I probably be the owner of a mantis tank without a mantis?

Well, that just ruined my day! I kept him on my desk at work and everybody here are all bummed out. It's a sad, sad day, that's for sure.

A failed molt is our biggest fear - our wennerae already molted once successfully though.

Molts are the time you will most likely lose your mantis. Every molt has the potential to be fatal. Things that wouldn't dent the poor thing will kill it during a molt. I'm sorry.
