I wish i was closer and take advantage of the frag tank failshed buddy!
I'm sure it will be great,can't wait seeing it up and running

Would be awesome to give frags to my buddies.

I wish I lived closer to you guys.

I'll be documenting the building of the stand and the tank construction.

Now that's the spirit!!! Why have a frag tank, when you can have another minimalistic nano .

TBH, I've setup a basic 24x24x12 nano for all the excess montis I have (didn't know what to do with myself with all that dipping going on), lets see how that goes

There's no way any truly SPS obsessed reefer can keep a frag tank from becoming another display so don't even try to resist the urge Jon - at least you tell your mates when you're adding another bloody tank.........

Didn't think the ugly tank was worth discussing guys . It's basically all the crap I didn't want in the Main display, dumped there . Some Monti digitata, encrusting Monti's, Undata and some Poccillopora. The tank's in the balcony of my apartment, with NO lighting for the last 2 weeks, apart from indirect sunlight. It's also been fed 1 mysis cube a day :facepalm: with little filtration. No alk, cal supplementation, no growth.

Thankfully, everything's doing ok, for now....speriments !!

I'll be using the tank as an angelfish QT tank as such, so I can get them happy, and observe if they're SPS nippy as well

And hilarious. Bello had a secret tank he wanted none of us to know about.

That sounds like a good way to test angels. I would still love to see it.


Small update: I completed the plumbing and am planning on getting it wet tomorrow. We shall see how this Herbie drain works out.

I don't think I'm ever drilling a tank in the corner again. The plumbing had to be routed differently than originally planned because of the stand.

Oh well... You build and learn.

Maybe if I can sell of all the extra Monti's, I'll run it as a softie tank, or if I'm feeling really stupid and wanna waste another year of my life, I can run zeo/biopellet experiments on it. Well, I'd say this is fitting. I threw hints of my original plans, but never really discussed them in depth.

The problem was... I ran out of space to hide the damn corals. Now I'm exposed for the rat bastard I really am.

This week is a bad one for me. I'm working insane hours. BUT I should have time on Wednesday and Thursday before my shifts to play with the little beast.

I'm waiting on my hanging kit to be delivered for the lights.

In all honesty, I was kinda thinking about making this the main tank and making biocube a... Nem tank...

I've said too much.

Love what the Seriatopora and the Monti cap are engaged in...looks like it's actually growing out of the top...is there any damage from the proximity or did the just cease growing at that point....
I love my sixline too, just wish I could add another fish (only have two, bangaii and the Six....

They continue to grow from the point of contact. The Monti wins in that small section, but the Panope grows out no matter what.

I wish the green Monti would get involved, but it hasn't spread much.

I am the proud owner of the slowest growing orange cap ever. It must be under too much light. everything else grows...maybe because I retrieved it from the bottom of the tank a while back where it had been left for dead....
