Fairy Wrasse Compatibility

Hi.. so I want to get 5 new additions (all introduced at one time) to my 150g reef tank. Tanks been established for 6 years. Nitrate at 30ppm and ammonia at 0.25 but doing water changes and getting better. Everything else is fine.

fish I have:
rosy scale wrasse
rhomboid wrasse
mystery wrasse
hawaiian flame wrasse
lineatus wrasse
pair of picasso clownfish
white sleeper goby

the 5 fish im planning to buy:
clown wrasse
exquisite wrasse
radiant wrasse
splendid leopard wrasse
melanurus wrasse


the reason im buying all 5 at once is because i can get a good deal. I have snails and hermit crabs that my wrasses dont bother.

Will this bioload be too much? will it be a problem to add all these fish at once and will it be compatible? Thanks

why is your nitrate levels at 30ppm and why do you have ammonia? I would correct those issues before adding more livestock..

i think it was because of overfeeding and i didnt have snails and hermit crabs for a few months but I just got some. I just tested for nitrate and its at 20ppm so my water changes and reduce feeding are working.

Ammonia at .25, and adding 5 more fish? You have some expensive fish already, I'd really recommend taking care of that, first. The nitrates aren't an issue, but NH3 at that level is much too high, if that's accurate.

I agree too. Correct your ammonia level before adding anything, and i dont think a cc is going to help correct your problem. Just my 2cents.

I just came from 2 different fish stores to get my water tested and both are ok. Ammonia and nitrate are both at 0 so my test kit was giving me false readings. There are no signs of my fish being sick.

So now that my water parameters are in range, is it ok to introduce 5 fish at one time and will they all get along? The only aggression in the tank is my mystery, rarely, chasing the hawaiian flame but the flame seems ok and eating.

don't know how much you know about leopard wrasses..but before keeping one i would read up on the primer..also i would not add add any more fairys with the mystery that is already established..imo you are asking for trouble as it is already somewhat aggressive to the flame and they are known for getting that way with other smaller wrasses with time...plus not sure you know this but the exqusite and i think the clown you are talking about the solorensis will lose alot of color if they are not housed with females..green fairys seem to lose the most color..i have not kept a radiant so i can not speak on those..and i have kpet melanurus with fairys with no problems...not sure how it and the mystery will get along?? i have not kept those two with each other

it will be a large increase of bioload so if you attempt this be sure and really cut down on feeding a few days before and also for the first couple of weeks start off light feedings then ramp it up to normal .
its really not a great thing to do unless you have a giant tank with a low bioload and your tank is large enough but you do already have a bunch of fish in there .
please send me the fish and i will take care of them for the next few years !
