Yesterday I picked up 2 new wrasses here in Bangkok. One is an Exquisite Wrasse from the Maldives. The other is from Indonesia and I haven't been able to ID it. The shop didn't know and the farm that shipped it didn't specify what it was.
After doing a lot of research online, the best candidate that I can find is a Temminck's Fairy Wrasse, aka "Threadfin Wrasse" or C. temminickii.
This fish is VERY prone to changing color based on mode. It can be mostly yellow or red at times. I'm sure once it has acclimated it will look more vivid than this. There is a yellow strip running the length of the top fin, and a stripe of red at the eyes.
