Looks like a female Cirrhilabrus solorensis to me.

it is a female solorensis also females can be quite nasty..it seems like alot of the times females are more aggresive than males

Something is not right, so far I was 100% sure that it's Cirrhilabrus cyanopleura (blue sided wrasse).

He is mine, not the best pictures, now I am worried, I wanted to add solorensis, I don't know if that's a good idea anymore...

@wrasseguy2 are you sure it's solorensis female?

Mine looks a little different color from yours. Mine has a reddish head, whereas yours looks like has a bluish head. I think yours look like a C. Cyanopleura, but what do I know, I thought mine is a C. Cyanopleura too. I also added a Melanurus Wrasse together with the C. Solorensis in the tank, and that fish left it alone.

Here are a couple of new fairy wrasses .

Yellow-Flanked Fairy Wrasse

This was sold as a scarlet fairy. But I cant seem to find a correct identification on him. Any ideas?

nice yellow flanked the.. red one is a c. rubripinnis one of my favorites can be a little aggresive at times but displays some very pretty red fins

Thanks wrasseguy2, thats him. He hasnt been very agrresive yet. I had six line wrasse that was chasing him around for a week, but now the six line went missing. So im thinking he took care of him.lol

wel jsut so you know if that sixline does turn up u might have to remove it sixlines do not mix well with fairys..also i hope your tank has a cover

My newest addtion: C. Pylei

Hmm..... I was under the impression that my wrasse was a Pylei, but it looks quite a bit different than this one. Can anyone tell me what it is... Note the black areas at the end of the tail and the dorsal fin.

LOL... wouldn't you know... There is a pic of a Pylie right here on the last page. Looks like mine IS a Pylie (semi) super-male.

Butterfiled, yours looks a bit more purple than mine. My Pylie seems to be more red/pink that yours which is more purple.

jefathome your is a pylie from cebu and the one that deanos is probally from vanuata just color varients i like the ones like you have more...they also seem to lose alot of color without females
